Our approach
Learning coaches, not just subject experts
Knowing the material is the starting point, not the job. Our tutors coach the habits underneath it: how a student plans, focuses, keeps going when it gets hard, and takes ownership of their own progress.
Session notes every time
Written notes after each session record what was covered, what clicked, and what still needs work. Nothing depends on memory.
Homework that follows through
Work set between sessions is checked, not just handed out, so progress carries on when the tutor is not in the room.
Parents kept in the loop
You hear how your child is actually doing, in plain language, without having to wait for a report card to find out.

AI in our tutoring
We use AI as a tool. We do not hand your child over to it.
Used well and supervised by a tutor, AI is genuinely useful: it can generate extra practice, rephrase an explanation that has not landed, and give a student a way to check their thinking between sessions.
What it cannot do is notice that a student has gone quiet, work out that the problem is confidence rather than content, or hold them to a commitment they made last week. That is the tutor's job, and it is the part that actually changes outcomes.
- Always supervised. A tutor decides when AI is used and checks what it produces.
- Human feedback. Corrections come from someone who knows your child's history, not a generic answer.
- Motivation and accountability. Someone notices the effort, and follows up when it slips.

Maral established the academy after 25 years in the education industry, teaching on the North Shore, in Burnaby and in downtown Vancouver. Her expertise includes executive functioning coaching in time management, goal setting and personal development, with a specialisation in learning differences and behavioural disorders.
